Open to students from within the boundaries of the Northland Regional Council area, contemplating or who are already participating in agricultural-related tertiary study.

AgResearch Summer Internship

AgResearch has offered summer internships for third and fourth year tertiary students for many years. They are not solely in science, but also in science support team roles including information technology, marketing and communications. Taking place over the summer vacation period, these internships expose students to the demands that come with their chosen science or business area. Participants will be tasked with completing specific science or business projects under the mentorship of a science/business area leader.

AGRIFUTURES Scholarship

Agri Futures, in collaboration with the New Zealand Rural Games Trust, is proud to offer up to five&nbsp;$1,000&nbsp;scholarships to support tertiary education costs for students from a rural background whose school has participated in the Clash of the Colleges, or a rural sports athlete.

Open to students at Lincoln University entering their third or fourth year of study towards a degree specialising in Valuation.

UC School of Forestry High Achievers Award (Incoming First-Year Scholarship)

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognise and support high-achieving students entering their first year of the Bachelor of Forestry Science (BForSc) degree programme at the University of Canterbury. Ngā Karahipi Uru Rākau – Forestry Scholarships

A Ngā Karahipi Uru Rākau (Forestry Scholarship) is your first step to a career in one of New Zealand’s largest and innovative industries. Te Uru Rākau – New Zealand Forest Service, is committed to creating greater diversity across forestry and wood processing. Courses for study: • Bachelor of Forestry Science at the University of Canterbury; • Diploma in Forest Management at Toi Ohomai Institute of&nbsp;Technology. • Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Forest Engineering at the University of Canterbury (from their first year) Recipients will receive $8000 for each year of their four-year degree or&nbsp;$7000 for each year of their two-year diploma (subject to successful completion of each academic year). The scholarship also includes a paid internship each summer of 10 weeks with Te Uru Rākau – New Zealand Forest Service, or an employer in the forestry sector.

New Zealand Institute of Forestry Undergraduate Scholarship

Open to students enrolled in a forestry or forestry-related degree at a New Zealand university.

Open to students undertaking a research project of&nbsp;relevance to forestry in the Otago-Southland region.

David Levene Foundation Bursaries

Open to students undertaking full-time study towards a Bachelors of AgriScience, AgriCommerce, Science, Information Science or Technology at Massey University, and who would otherwise be unable to study due to financial hardship.

Regina Rudland Memorial Scholarship

Open to a&nbsp;full-time Māori student of Ngāti Porou descent, undertaking study in the field of Agriculture or Apiculture at Level 3 or higher.&nbsp;

John Mowbray Howard Tripp Agricultural Scholarship

Open to students from the Canterbury region who are enrolled in a degree related to the land-based industries at Lincoln University.

Sparling Environmental Travel Award

Open to post graduate students at the University of Waikato undertaking research in the areas of environmental studies, natural sciences, or agricultural sciences.

Frank Sydenham Trust Scholarship

The Mazzetta Scholarships aim is to support registered Ngāi Tahu whānau and other Māori in their career development in the fishing and/or seafood industry. Kaingaroa Timberlands Kaitiaki o te Ngahere Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students undertaking a course of study in a forestry discipline. Priority is given (but not limited) to students with a connection to the land on which Kaingaroa Timberlands holds forestry licences and who have resided in the central North Island. The scholarship covers the total cost of tuition fees for a period not exceeding four years. In addition to the scholarship, TIMBERLANDS' also offers work experience during semester breaks.
