Horticulture NZ Postgraduate Scholarship

<p>Open to people undertaking postgraduate study in horticulture or related fields.&nbsp;</p><p><span>Every year Horticulture New Zealand and the New Zealand Fruitgrowers Charitable Trust each offer one scholarship to a postgraduate student studying in New Zealand. These scholarships are offered to students undertaking postgraduate study because innovation and tackling challenges head-on is critical to the horticulture industry's future success.</span></p>

Winton A & P Association Research Farm Scholarship

PVGA Scholarship

<p>Open to&nbsp;full or part-time students from Auckland undertaking a horticultural degree, diploma, or certificate or a degree, diploma, or certificate applicable to horticulture taken with a reputable service provider.</p>

Mackey (George) Papuni Scholarship

<p>Open to students (or potential students) from Tairāwhiti studying forestry-related programmes at the University of Canterbury or Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology.</p>

Whakapapa Scholarship

GRASSROOTS DAIRY GRADUATE MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME

<p><span>The Grassroots Dairy Management Graduate Programme was created to provide a pathway for recent university graduates to participate in a professionally run graduate programme. Established by university graduates themselves, the programme has been designed to give recent graduates the opportunity to learn and grow faster than what the normal industry pathway provides.</span></p>

John Chaytor Memorial Scholarship

South Island Agricultural Field Days Inc. Scholarships

C Alma Baker Trust Postgraduate Scholarship

<p class="p-font"><strong>Conditions for awards are as follows:</strong><br>- Research projects in the fields of agriculture, agricultural technology and studies of rural society are considered. <br>- Funds may be granted to provide technical, travel, consumables, sample testing, or other support for established researchers. The Trust will not usually fund capital items, pay the salaries of principal researchers, or cover institutional overhead charges.<br>- The Trust expects to make a number of awards in the range of $10,000-$40,000.The Trust is not able to approve project funding on a multi-year basis but will consider funding projects on an annual basis in response to a series of applications.</p>

Growing Future Farmers

<h2>Scholarships to support future on-farm advisers</h2><p>The Ministry for Primary Industries' (MPI's) scholarship programme is for tertiary students to help increase the number of on-farm advisers.</p><h2>Eligibility for a scholarship</h2><p>To be eligible, applicants must be:</p><ul>

<p>Open to&nbsp;<span>Māori professionals seeking to pursue excellence in the Oceans sector.</span></p>

AgResearch Summer Internship

<p><span>AgResearch has offered summer internships for third and fourth year tertiary students for many years.<br><br></span><span>They are not solely in science, but also in science support team roles including information technology, marketing and communications.</span><br><span>Taking place over the summer vacation period, these internships expose students to the demands that come with their chosen science or business area.<br></span><br><span>Participants will be tasked with completing specific science or business projects under the mentorship of a science/business area leader.</span></p>

AGRIFUTURES Scholarship

<p><span>Agri Futures, in collaboration with the New Zealand Rural Games Trust, is proud to offer up to five&nbsp;</span><strong>$1,000</strong><span>&nbsp;scholarships to support tertiary education costs for students from a rural background whose school has participated in the Clash of the Colleges, or a rural sports athlete.</span></p>

Colliers Rural and Agribusiness Valuation Scholarship

<p>Open to students at Lincoln University entering their third or fourth year of study towards a degree specialising in Valuation.</p>

UC School of Forestry High Achievers Award (Incoming First-Year Scholarship)

Ngā Karahipi Uru Rākau – Forestry Scholarships

<p>A Ngā Karahipi Uru Rākau (Forestry Scholarship) is your first step to a career in one of New Zealand’s largest and innovative industries. <br>Te Uru Rākau – New Zealand Forest Service, is committed to creating greater diversity across forestry and wood processing. <br><br>Courses for study:<br>• Bachelor of Forestry Science at the University of Canterbury; <br>• Diploma in Forest Management at Toi Ohomai Institute of&nbsp;Technology.<br>• Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Forest Engineering at the University of Canterbury (from their first year)<br><br>Recipients will receive $8000 for each year of their four-year degree or&nbsp;$7000 for each year of their two-year diploma (subject to successful completion of each academic year). <br><br>The scholarship also includes a paid internship each summer of 10 weeks with Te Uru Rākau – New Zealand Forest Service, or an employer in the forestry sector.</p>
