Mackey (George) Papuni Scholarship
Closing Date: 30 Nov 2024
Open to students (or potential students) from Tairāwhiti studying forestry-related programmes at the University of Canterbury or Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology.
Woodhouse Scholarship
Closing Date: 20 Feb 2025
Open to South Canterbury students who are undertaking a course of study to major in the biological sciences at one of the Universities of Otago, Canterbury or Lincoln
Southern Wood Council Forest Products Scholarship
Closing Date: 17 Mar 2025
Open to students who have completed their first/intermediate year and be enrolled in the second year/first professional year of a B.For.Sc or B.E.(Hons)(For) degree at the University of Canterbury.
RDK Agricultural Engineering Scholarship
Closing Date: 31 Mar 2025
Open to students in their final year of study (Bachelor's or Honours), with at least one course in agricultural engineering
UC School of Forestry High Achievers Award (Incoming First-Year Scholarship)
Closing Date: 15 Aug 2025
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognise and support high-achieving students entering their first year of the Bachelor of Forestry Science (BForSc) degree programme at the University of Canterbury.
Number of Scholarships available annually: Up to five, with one of the scholarships being reserved for a Māori or Pasifika student
Food Transitions 2050 PhD Scholarships

Open to postgraduate students interested in food sustainability research.
Woodhouse Study Grants
Closing Date: 29 Oct 2025
Open to secondary school students from South Canterbury region who intend to study the biological sciences at any of the three South Island universities (University of Otago, University of Canterbury, Lincoln University).
Owen Browning Scholarships in Forestry
Closing Date: 1 Nov 2025
Open to postgraduate students who have been admitted or who are eligible for admission to postgraduate studies in Forestry at the University of Canterbury.
T W Adams Scholarship in Forestry

Open to postgraduate students accepted for enrolment in the MForSc or PhD in Forestry programmes at the University of Canterbury
