Frank Sydenham Scholarship

Scholarship(s) to enable students to undertake bachelor or post-graduate level studies in horticulture or agriculture or forestry (or related subjects).

Preference will be shown to students from within the statutory boundary of the Bay of Plenty Regional Council, or students from outside that region who intend to utilise the outcome of their studies in the Bay of Plenty region or neighbouring areas.
Preference will be shown to students wishing to undertake post-graduate study.

Applications are scheduled to open from 7 September – 2 October 2026.

Scholarship(s) to enable former students from schools within the statutory boundary of the Bay of Plenty Regional Council to undertake postgraduate horticulture, agriculture or forestry programme (or related subjects).

Scholarships open February and no closing date currently scheduled. Please note the Trustee is testing a year round application period, subject to application volumes. Please monitor carefully for changes as time-frames for applications may be amended.
