The Kiley Family Memorial Trust was established in 2000 by brothers, Peter and John Kiley. The Scholarships are funded by revenue from a Taranaki dairy farm owned by the Kiley Family Memorial Trust.

The purpose of the tertiary scholarship is to assist students to pursue or continue with their tertiary studies in the field of agriculture or who have included agriculture in their field of study. Studies must be undertaken at a recognised NZ tertiary education provider.

Who is eligible: 
- Secondary school students who are presently in their final year of secondary education to pursue their chosen tertiary degree the following year or students continuing with their tertiary studies. 
- Preference is given to students from less well-off backgrounds who would otherwise have difficulty paying their fees and meeting other costs.

Eligibility:Year 13 students of:|
- Taranaki based secondary schools, or
- Whanganui based secondary schools, or
- Wellington based Catholic secondary schools, or
- Current tertiary students (whose usual home base would be in the Taranaki/Whanganui/Wellington based regions) with a view to completing their chosen degree. Students must be pursuing studies in the field of agriculture or have included agriculture in their field of study.
