We have gathered information about a wide range of scholarships to help you fund your study or training in areas relevant to our food & fibre sectors.

Constellation Cadet Programme

Closing Date: 30 Nov 2024

Open to high school leavers who are interested in pursuing a career in the viticulture industry.

Northland On-Farm Residential Programme

Closing Date: 12 Feb 2025

Open to students aged between 18-24years who are looking to kick start their career in the dairy or sheep & beef sectors.

Smedley Station & Cadet Training Farm

Closing Date: 19 Jul 2025

Open to students between 16 and 20 years of age and studying in at least their third year of secondary education, who aspire to a career in farming and agribusiness.

Coleridge Downs Cadetship

Closing Date: 30 Jul 2025

Open to dedicated young people, with NCEA Level 2, who have a passion for the High Country, and the associated lifestyle.

Pukemiro Station Cadetship Programme

Closing Date: 31 Jul 2025

Open to driven, hard working students that want to develop their skills and gain the qualifications they need to have a successful career in the agriculture industry.

Jeff Farm Cadetship

Closing Date: 1 Sep 2025

Open to students aged 16-20 years, in at least their 3rd year of secondary school, who wish to undertake a career in farming.

Growing Future Farmers

Closing Date: 27 Sep 2025

Our two-year programme (44 weeks each year starting mid-January to late Nov/early December), includes:
- On farm placement throughout 14 regions of NZ
- Practical on farm training and development
- NZQA level 3 qualifications
- Regional Student support
- Course fees, access to subsidised gear, equipment and clothing pack, and two pups provided
- Weekly Living allowance
